Outre les caractéristiques des isolants disponibles sur le marché, la qualité de la pose influe grandement sur le résultat obtenu. Défauts d’étanchéité, ponts thermiques, doivent être soigneusement évités.
La laine de verre et la laine de roche ont d’excellente qualités d’isolation thermique et acoustique, en plus d’un bon comportement au feu (pas de prise au feu, pas de fumées toxiques). Ce sont des solutions très économiques.
Matériau naturel et respirant, qui participe à la régulation de l’hygrométrie dans la maison. Et il a une excellente résistance au feu, contrairement à ce que l’on pourrait croire. Très bonne inertie thermique et phonique. Elle a un temps de déphasage thermique long, ce qui la rend intéressante pour l’isolation des combles en cas de canicule.
Offrant un bonne isolation / inertie thermique, la ouate de cellulose a aussi d’excellents résultats pour l’isolation acoustique. Elle est imputrescible, ininflammable, et les rongeurs ne s’y attaquent pas.
